Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh said that Jordanian electrical network has high availability and covers about 99.9% of the Jordan population.
During the ceremony of receiving the certificate of excellence to Samra Electric power Company which is awarded by King Abdullah II Center for Excellence, Dr. Kharabsheh affirmed that despite the financial challenges throughout the electrical network operations, it has maintained sustainability and high availability and provided an outstanding level of results.
Al-Kharabsheh indicated that King Abdullah II award for Excellence is a huge incentive for energy sector to moving towards excellent achievements, on the other hand he praised the performance of Al-Samra Company and its employees.
On the other side, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Rawabdeh, Executive Director of King Abdullah II Center for Excellence, said that the center will publish information about the company on the website data base which is related to the European Foundation for Quality Management. In addition to include the company's name in the certificate holders' booklet that will be distributed to more than 500 international organizations.
He indicated that the international recognition certificate enhances the company's growth opportunities and provides it with tools and mechanisms to develop its capabilities and opens prospects for increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of SEPCO, Eng. Amjad Al-Rawashdeh, praised the performance of the employees and their important role in achieving this achievement that is recorded for the company, affirming that the journey of excellence is a long path that requires continuous cooperation between all competent workers in the sector.
For his part, general manager of Al-Samra Company, Dr. Sufian Al-Batayneh, stated that the company will continue working to achieve the royal vision of a distinguished Jordan and a productive economy, and to actively contribute in implementing and activating of the energy sector strategy to reach the vision of economic modernization.
Finally, it is indicated that Samra Electric Power Company is the first government entity to be awarded a certificate of recognition of institutional excellence with a rating of (4 stars) from the European Organization for Quality Management. According to the classification, the company is the first entity to obtain this certificate in the energy sector at the level of the Kingdom.
It is noteworthy that Al-Samra Electric Generating Company is the first government entity to be awarded a certificate of recognition of excellence with a rating of (4 stars) from the European Organization for Quality Management. According to the center classification, SEPCO is the first company to obtain this certificate in the Jordanian energy sector.
